Clauses of cause.
In English, words that join two sentences are called conjunctions. When you want to add a clause that gives a reason for a situation, use a conjunction like as, because or since.
Since he was late, we went out without him.
The clause with as, because or since can begin the sentence:
As it went on raining, we had to stop the match. Or it can come after the main clause:
We had to stop playing because it was raining a lot.
