Lesson 2 – Da dove vieni?

Charlotte: Hello, Gemma.

Gemma: Hi, Charlotte.

Charlotte: Where are you from, Gemma?

Gemma: I’m from Berkeley, near San Francisco. And you?

Charlotte: I’m from a town in Sussex, but I live in London now. What about you? Where do you live?

Gemma: Oh, here in London, in a  Bed and Breakfast, but I want to find an apartment.

Charlotte: Hm… Hey! I live in a big flat, and I want a flatmate. Come and see it. Here…here’s my number.

Gemma: Okay, thanks.

Charlotte: Call me before 10:00 tonight.

Gemma: Okay.

Charlotte: Okay. Bye.

Gemma: Bye. Hello, Andrew.

Andrew: Oh, hello, Gemma.

Gemma: Are you from London?

Andrew: No, no, I’m, from Brighton.

Gemma: Hm… The seaside! Great!

Bill: The seaside! In England! Is it very cold?

Andrew: Cold? Well, it isn’t cold in summer.

Bill: My Mom’s from Florida. Sea, sand… and sun!

Gemma: Where is she from, exactly?

Bill: Miami. But we live in Florence. La bella Firenze!

Gemma: Firenze? Spell it!

Bill: F – I – R- E – N – Z – E.

Gemma: I want to go to Italy. And I want to go to Hollywood!

Bill: Okay, baby. Hollywood, here we come!
